Quality Fences

The Anatomy of a quailty fence

Materials, methods, Codes; All the information you need to make an educated decision

Customers always are impressed with how straight and uniform our fences look. in reality this is not something that happens on accident. it is actually a bi product of exceptional framing.

Quality Materials

Time tested building methods

Where it starts: frame work

Using quality materials that can hold up to our damp, sometimes humid, and wet environment is essential to building a fence that lasts.

Ever drive by a fence that is falling apart and wonder what was supposed to be holding it together in the first place?

We use coated deck screws to help extend the life of the fence frame and posts. Ordinary screws or nails will rust out quick with our rainy climate. Make sure your contractor is using the right materials!

For a sound, robust and good looking fence, it all starts with plumb posts, level frame rails, and the proper amount of concrete to anchor the posts. all of these factors, when done right combine to make an extremely sturdy fence that will hold up to the Pacific Northwest's temperamental weather.

Fence posts must be sunk at least 24 inches below the grade of the building surface. This ensures the posts are below the frost line giving them a longer lifespan, making them solid for longer.

This method also complies with codes in all Washington counties

Pressure treated lumber

Pressure treated lumber should be used for all framing and load bearing sections of your fence. Pressure treated lumber is lumber that has undergone a treating process that protects the wood against rot, making it extremely durrable for outdoor use.

we use ground contact pressure treated lumber for all of our posts

A construction site with a gravel ground and a fenced perimeter. In the background, there are multi-story buildings, with the facade showing windows and brickwork. There are construction materials and equipment scattered within the enclosed area. Two orange and black striped traffic barrels stand in front of the fence, and trees are visible in the background under a cloudy sky.

★★★★★

Kyle was fantastic to work with and did excellent work. He graded my drive to direct snow-melt and rain run toward the culvert he installed. I found him to be an excellent communicator who always let me know what was happening and if the plan changed in any way. He consistently asked for my feedback and input as he did the job. He worked hard and cleaned up the site when finished. I highly recommend him!
